Greetings to all of my present and future friends. My name is Matthew Legan Sanchez. Some of my friends call me Matt, some call me Legan, and some call me Sanchez. In the past, I was occasionally called by my full name – Matthew Legan Sanchez – when I was in some sort of trouble. So it only makes sense that you should call me, Matthew Legan Sanchez, at (505) SANCHEZ when you personally find yourself with a legal issue.
I’m an attorney that was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I graduated from Del Norte High School and then from the University of New Mexico. I loved the University of New Mexico so much that I graduated from the school twice. In undergrad I majored in Psychology and Business management. After undergrad I attended the UNM School of Law. I’m presently a partner at Trujillo Dodd, Torres, O’Brien & Sanchez, LLC. I’m the Sanchez after the & symbol. I focus my practice on criminal defense, personal injury, and family law. I practice areas of law that personally affect you, and your entire family.
We all know that lawyers love to talk. We love the soothing, and hypnotic sound of our voices. I’m certainly no exception to the rule. Some lawyers also love to write. Personally, I fall under both categories. Meet me in person, and I can talk for days. The topics can flow from a wide breath of legal topics such as criminal procedure, and can flow onwards towards topics such as books, sports, business, and psychology. My conversations never follow a set formula. I speak what’s on my mind. I try not to edit myself. I also write what’s on my mind. Because of this fact, I can assure you that the topics of my blog will seem to flow along a stream of consciousness. One day I may write legal advice for someone that has been pulled over by a police officer. The next day I might write about the 182 day rule in Metro Court. And then a couple of days later, I might feel compelled to write about snails. Only time will tell.
With that said, I introduce you to my website, and my blog. Feel free to stop by at your leisure. Take a look around. Check out the pictures. Thumb through my biography. Enjoy the zia symbol. Admire the graphics that were created by talented friend, Carlos Garcia. But most importantly, make yourself comfortable. Check back periodically as I update my blog on the thoughts that flow through my mind’s eye on any given day. And if reading isn’t your forte, well then, by now you know that I’m a lawyer, which means that I’m definitely not allergic to talking. If you have a specific legal question, then pick up your phone and call me at (505) SANCHEZ.
